I believe the higher your ahi the easier it is to adjust to a cpap. I had great relief the very 1st night on it. Most of the guys ive heard say they hate them were really just borderline needing it.

I was working for a small company in Vegas with plans to move to a bigger and better one after a year. I am no longer a local driver.

Sometimes big local companies won’t hire you if you don’t have experience as a local driver. I remember getting a call from Core Mark and KAG (Kenan Advantage Group) shortly after starting to work as a local driver. So I rejected them.

Little late in responding. My last physical, 3 weeks ago, I asked about going back to a 2 year card if I could lose the cpap machine. She told me "NO". Even if the test shows you no longer have it, or didn't when the test was preformed, most physicians won't take the diagnosis away due to liability (we can all guess where that liability comes from). In other words, it will always be a part of your history.

How'd u loose sleep apnea? Lost weight? I don't need a CPAP there's nothing wrong with me but company says I gotta use it to drive for em. It's a scam to sell CPAPs

Mine does absolutely nothing for me I wear it just cause dot & Crete say I gotta Wear it to continue driving. If I don't use it one night at home I drive my personal vehicle just fine the next day.

Did you go to a sleep study center? I would think that would be a way to confirm you have sleep apnea. I think sleep apnea boils down to waking up repeatedly during your sleep often times due to being overweight.

Yeah I do have sleep apnea but it has no effect on my ability to drive if I quit using CPAP I'll still drive just as safe as I do now. The CPAP is not helping anybody stay safe cause I don't need it. The scientists are wrong. Wrong about me anyway. I've talked to other drivers that said their CPAP is doing nothing for em & they don't need it.

    This crap gets tiring.

    This isn't about you.

It is about something that happens to a lot of people and it has saved their lives.

The reasoning behind CPAP appears to be helping drivers get a better quality sleep by not waking up as often and hitting more sleep stages. If you’re waking up every 30 min, you may not be hitting the deep sleep stages, which can make you feel more tired throughout the day.
