I have been with jct for 6 months now and sometimes it seems as if jct is a fly by night company. I have talked with mike neal several times about trading my truck in, a 2007 int. with 530,000 miles on it and each time it is the same answer "not sure if i have anything". Now i plan on just keeping it until it starts to nickle and dime me. I had a friend tell me that mike was holding him a new pete and sure enough he got one the same day i asked and was told none were available. I came from a company that showed pride in their hq, maverick, and I have not seen that yet at jct. Yes the miles are there but it seems that is it who you know that counts.

Are you having any problems with your trk right now? The next time you go on the yard and see a truck that's in the ready lot that you really like try talking to laura watkins or sheila bane. I'm not guaranteeing anything but its worth a try if you're really wanting to upgrade to a new trk. I don't know if they looked at your performance first? Cuz it used to be a factor for them to decide also.

    Little Princess Here,

Put an app in with JCT this past week, wanted info on the lease purchase, and to follow up on the company driver spots for OTR that were open. Was told on JCT's "live chat" app was rejected, no reason given. When I requested info on "WHY?", followed by a polite "Please put it in writing, I have to show reason for my unemployment"

My response was "I DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU...I CANNT HELP YOU" Coversation over, line disconnected.. Well, if that's not discourtious, let alone down right rude. Guess which state paying my unemployment got the screen copy of that? Along with a nice long email, concerning how the company has definately gone downhill, in dire need of some major housecleaning. Guess which VA SRT officer in 2 states got an email with the screen copy of that. Along with a nice long letter pertaining to my Refusal to live in a homeless shelter...as a female, as a Veteran, with a valid CDL, unlike some companies that were busted for CDLA issuance instead of state testing and issuanse. :biggrin_25516:

The last time I had contact with anyone in JCT, it was in 2006, Had to call the company owner, or at least, that is who "claimed" to be answering the phone, just to find out any information on the cdla school a driver graciously told me about, (his cb nick was "Wanderer", (nice man, terrible kisser) and was told one needed 3yrs OTR before either company or lease op hire, and that the school, was only to recertify company drivers who were already on payroll for reliscensing purposes. (school was in Mira Loma,CA).

(Daffy Duck out of Mesa, with FoxWorthy, (weekly dedicated, cann't make a paycheck-cannt make a livingstill), hates him, never did find out why, must have had something to do "Wanderer" being able to travel out of Phoenix, let alone AZ....or getting his blank b-slapped over the CB.......:yes2557:

The only reason I put in my app nearly 3yr later, JCT had lowered it's OTR experience to 1yr out of 3 yr with a liscense....I took OTR in School, have always loved driving, drove otr for ffe and werner (I had to have money, otherwise, I would have been more pickier). Been driving since Germany, back in 89, lot of years behind a wheel, irreguardless of what type of engine. (26,000 gross and under, but skill is still skill behind the wheel, irreguardless of terrain, and learning to drive a "stick" for the first time, made it even more enjoyable when moving up to the class 8's ^.^) Still like Peterbilts, even though it cann't haul it's weight up a hill, jake wont hold on the way down, it's got up and go-got up and went, and if one doesn't look out for that little red flippy thingy on the 5th wheel release arm, BEFORE ONE PULLS IT!!! one is going to bawl like a baby screaming in pain shifting gears after that arm won't move, until that little red flippy thingy is moved out of the way ^.^:biggrin_25515:

So what happened???? Did the kids blow dad off again, (or so the rumors went) or did the family lose control of the company to the recruiting/hr/safety department like last time, (according to rumor and drivers in the know) when it nearly went broke sueing Steven's Trucking for driver theft?

The D--- shame is, the drivers that I had spoken with in 2006, were in the same boat sinking fast due to rabid rats overloading the ship, that I'm in now, and spoke highly of JCT, not just because they were working with the company, but because the company actually hired them in time of need, and most importantly, afterwards, treated them with Courtesy, Dignity, and no "F'n BS-gotta fight for it" Respect. Not to mention, keeping them on, when most companies, knowing the desperate circumstances, would have sent them back to a cardboard box on skid row, simply because the company didn't want to keep a good working, employee, that could, would, or had hauled his/her # off, and did it with legal logs, in legal times, and with minimal complaints, beyond the, "What do you mean I'm to tired to drive, it's only been 6wks!!!".

Looks like this is another company going to bankruptcy in a handbasket on it's way down the no-way-out road to H.

Shame JCT's competition Steven Trucking, has turned into another Swift and FFE/Werner.....

My patience to argue, ran out after nearly 7mo of being unemployed. I don't have neither the time, nor the patience to put up with .... well, I'll be polite and not say what I really think of employees with that type of behavior.

Want to flame me? Post it here,

    Little princess ,

Your profile oly shows you only got 0-1 year experience. That's one reason why u didn't get hired. They raised the requirements back to 3 yrs due to rookie drivers that can't drive. Second your attitude. I've read ur whole post and its nothing but bashing others.

About the sueing it was stevens who sued us cuz they were losing too many drivers to jct two years ago.

Lastly JCT did you a favor for denying you. If they did hire you, u won't make it here. You'd be like the others that start complaining about the company within the first few weeks.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but the impression u gave in ur post pretty much made it seem ur not playing nice either.

    Hello Keen, Little Princess Here,

Neither can I, especially since the company is advertising all over the internet, including the company's own Website, that it has dropped the hiring experience requirements, from 3yrs, to 1yr verifiable OTR. As stated in my earlier post, I couldn't believe the nasty response I got on a professional follow-up call on an application submission.

And as for "Bashing" Posts.... to the individual placing the charge, Prove It! In Context!

Little Princess I thought I might jump in here and give you an idea WHY JCT didn't hire you. I am NOT a driver for JCT so I am in NO way defending them.

When you apply for a driving job you MUST tell why you are unemployed. At least every job I have ever applied has that requirement. I was told once it is a DOT requirement. I never verified it so I am not sure. But even if it's not, as an applicant I always answer the questions. I keep in mind I AM the person out of work.

Your wrong about the sueing part. JCT was definitly going after Stevens for driver theft. The reason I know this, is because the young lady that has bin my tax lady for 7 years was named in the law suit. So she was part of the whole process.
