I learned that I am not a good bike rider. I managed not to kill myself on several. Just a whole lot going on. Get too busy and forget something important.
Thats why I prefer horsies. Toss a saddle on them and keep a eye on them. They'll let you know. Believe it or not the ones Ive relied on sometimes don't need to be told what to do. Especially when they are picking downgrade on rock. You will get to the bottom safe and sound if you just leave the beast be. Not that I particularly like heights. But eh...

Ive always liked the older Triumph say the mid 70's two stroke if you can find one or something similar. Not too extreme. That will come later when you salivate over a big hogger and 30 inch steamroller wheels or something. =)G13Tomcat, WesternPlains, FerrissWheel and 1 other person Thank this.

go to a shop and try them on for size. then look at the australian LAMS list.
they restrict big hp bikes from new riders, so those two things should narrow the multitudes of selection down to a few, then you pick what you like bestG13Tomcat, WesternPlains, x1Heavy and 3 others Thank this. -
I tried to jump a mulch pile on a 1981 yz 80 when I was twelve and almost burned my leg off. Haven't biked since. I certainly can't add much to the discussion. LolG13Tomcat, WesternPlains, Rocks and 4 others Thank this.

What would your budget be? There are a lot of good quality rides available. One thing, your going to want to take a rider course. Most of the dealers in your area will have information on what is available near you.G13Tomcat, WesternPlains, FerrissWheel and 2 others Thank this.

I sit in college after 2002 and realized several things about IT. My horror was coding. A form of breaking big rocks into little rocks with a bit of math thrown in. I was never much for math. So thats one possibility erased... whats left? Oh building computers. YAY. Little did I know i be building monsters. I probably blame my original class for that. Too many systems were presented with the utmose economy of spending. I think one was 570 dollars in total including box and the specs were not much better than the old 300 CPU's sitting on our desks. (Thats 300 megahertz....)
College was not bad. Getting into internet, routers and so forth. Wonderful. Until I needed to throw wire. Talk about arthritis. The little ones in class were like monkeys getting into everything while waiting on me fumbling into the far top rack corner. Hurry up old man... in good spirits teasing. Those little whippershappers will be on our internet today for a living.
I had to leave it behind because of a variety of reasons, but the state said it was fine. Not often old drivers get rehabilitated in something like that.RidgeRunner731, G13Tomcat, WesternPlains and 1 other person Thank this. -
What do you like the look of? Take @Espressolane advice and take a rider course so you get your motorcycle endorsement. Don't be like me 22 years of riding and still no endorsement, I'm gonna do it soon I swear lol. You can fit on just about anything. I'm 6'1" 225lbs and can comfortably ride anything from a ninja 250 to a big Harley.G13Tomcat, dwells40, WesternPlains and 3 others Thank this.
