We have a 2017 F450 dually. Just put a new long block in at 115,000. We are now down again with a locked up motor 6 months later at 180,000 miles. Anyone else experiencing this same problem. We had the same problem with our 2015. Replaced the short block 3 times in 1 year with that truck. We religiously keep a maintenance schedule on it, but still continue with the same issue.

I tried to use them a few months ago, however, and found they're so busy that it takes them days to return calls to their voice mail. When I did get a call back, it was from another local shop that they'd cleared, I assume, to do work as good as they'd do it. (United Diesel Repair, Flowery Branch GA) In my case, it was a 6.4L short block replacement in a 2010 F-350. I chose NOT to go with them because a highly recommended shop a few miles from me did the work as well for about the same price.Bakerman Thanks this. -

TexMountain and Lite bug Thank this.

Something weird is going on for sure. I ran an F550 with the 6.7L. Grossed 18k lbs every day and I drove the absolute piss out of it. Aside from the odd CEL when it was -30 out I never had any real issues with it.
TexMountain Thanks this.
