I live in Seymour also .... I went to Smokey Mtn Trucking to get my CDL... They are right there in Seivierville and Roehl accepts their students .... It could save you some money going there .... you could commute to school each day and I got WIA to pay for mine ...... Nikki is the director there and she is very helpful ...... plus SMTI is accepted by many trucking companies for training ...... good luck

Roehl's school takes 3 weeks and you leave there with your CDL. You normally go home and then go out with a trainer within a week. If you drive for Roehl for 120,000 miles then your school debt is forgiven. Not a bad deal.

I called smoky mountain trucking and tried to do the other but the lady on the phone really didnt help me that much. I dont have the money to pay for the school but so i have to find one that helps you or pays for it but thank.

I'll relay advice that was relayed to me when I was looking at CDL training for what it's worth .... if you can, get your CDL thru a scool that is not associated with any trucking company so you can leave your employment options open ..... good luck and keep us posted as to how your doing ..... I leave out this morning with a Roehl trainer for Evo I .......

roehls school was not bad...on second day your in the truck 3rd day your out running around marshfield...3 weeks training...they put u in the hotel by walmart..hotel isnt bad u got a microwave and fridge in the room...They dont feed you..Marshfield is a dump...Hope you can last 120k i now owe them 1300 bucks.... -
I went to Roehl's school. While they don't have exactly a contact that allows you to sign on for a period of time in lewd of paying up front, they extend credit which means you have to have a good credit score of have a co-signer. Then like ETCH said when you reach 120,000 miles (that's what it was it could have changed) your loan was paid in full.
-
I guess I should be grateful I lasted long enough to have my loan paid off.
