Reserved parking strikes again

Bonus points for rhyming.

 

At some places like Phoenix AZ or Dallas/Ft Worth, reserved parking is the only way to get a spot for the night. I use it when I know I'll be getting in late or when I'm delivering in a busy area.

 

I used to use truck stops for my 10, but lately I have been really enjoying highway rest stops, or other secret places. I do my fueling at pilot or loves, and then do a shower on my 30 min during the day when its not hard to park. I never used TA because they make it hard to get a rewards card.

 

Was it a giant deer hunter version?

 

I laugh every time I enter a ta or petro.
Like walking into a time machine.
Video game parlor with huge stupid games with plastic guns.
Restrooms and showers from the 1940's.
No food except for the iron stomach.
Bring back pay phones!

 

Ha ha maybe it was that Horse racing game they had at TAs years ago. You could sit at the BIG video game with the other drivers and race your horse . I have not stopped at that TA since everyone say the restaurant is gone. I'm not paying to park, plus have the roller hotdogs as only food option.

 

Head to the KJs Travel Center in Idaho Falls. Not only do they still have your payphones, they're each in their own little individual rooms with door lock and key!

 

Funny thing is. Most of us would ##### if someone told us what to do with our property. Fact is drivers want to guarantee a parking spot. Ok. Thats fine.

But i guess dont remember when a lot of places we used to park at hit us up going in or out of the gate. Like Ontario Cali does.

As for restaurants petro is going to IHOP or black bear diner. No good.

I stay away if i can. But sometimes you cant help it.

Bottom line to me their property their choice. My choice is to not be there.

 

I don't get that kind of thinking. Why is it the truckstops responsibility to provide ''free'' parking? It should be up to the truck owner to pay for parking who in turn adds those charges on the rate.

 

Well seeing as how much they charge for fuel and items inside I thought that was how they got you to pay for parking.

Fuel can be had cheaper at most fuel stops rather than large truck stop chains.
