I got an Evolution and it is different in operation in several ways from the 2013. It initiates a parked regeneration when needed from high idle, which shows 850 rpm on the tach, high idle is set with the resume/accelerate button on the steering wheel, setting cruise control on has no effect.
A regen can be stopped by pushing in the parking brake knob (tractor supply), and later restarted by holding the regen button down for several seconds.
Good luck on finding 5%or less bio fuel in certain areas from a major, limit seems to be 20% max, might be less in some areas but I haven't had fuel trouble.
One more thing, this truck has the small DEF tank, so it's wise to fill it nearly everytime you fuel, or be aware of where you can get some in short order. I was unable to get any at a fuel stop, and was down tothe last segment of green, in less than 200 miles, it started flicking to yellow, then the yellow warning light came on and in less than ten miles, there was an active fault. I had filled it before the fault showed (mil and check engine), it went off on its own.
The next batch of trucks have 23 gallon def tanks and twin 120 gallon fuel tanks.
Much more refined overall than the 2013, imo.

If the DPF zone is changed in the engine parameters you can indeed do a parked regen. Normally the switch enable is set to zone two, which does require the light to be on to initiate a regen. I recently changed mine to Zone 0, now it will do a parked regen without the light on, but only if the computer thinks that it could use one.
