with my old pete my break even point with a drivers wage of $.40mi was $1.60
I haven't figured my new break even point because I am just now figuring out my fuel milage but my pete cost me $.60mi just for fuel and this truck is running around $.38 so even when you add my $.10mi truck payment it's still lower plus my maintenace will hopefully be MUCH less
Need some advise and wisdom

Medicineman, I did not hear about your new truck purchase yet. How is that going for ya?

costs extra i have a complete break down but not right in front of me -
they do vans and flats differently. company vans you pull for a little more percentage of your load. 7 or 8 percent. It's allot I think. but if you sit for a month you don't pay anything.
the flats you lease so you have a monthly payment wether you run or not. At least I believe that's how it works.
either way... get your own trailer. there isn't enough drop and hooks to justify 8 percent. and if you'r into flats then there is no drop and hook -
I have decided to just let that extra flat I have sit. Everybody that has been interested has had a hitch. Maybe im to picky. I may just sell it and sell my other truck cant find nobody 2 pull it or anybody to drive and take care of the truck so I think im just going to do my own thing atleast for a while.
