How are their PA terminals to work out of, specifically Avondale and Glenmoore ? Do they keep you busy out of these two places ?

Hi Hicksie. I've enjoyed your posts and feel like you may have found a good thing. Can you give an update for the past month. Also do you know if the hire/have a terminal in the Asheville, NC area. Thanks again for informative posts. Jerry

Here is an update for last little bit. I don't think they have a terminal near Asheville. I would have went there if they did, alot closer.
Quality is a good company and I was very happy Till the affiliate terminal I was with lost a food grade account to Prime. It was our biggest account for terminal. I tried to tuff it out after that but did alot of sitting. if I wasn't sitting it was long deadhead for no $. Being paid % doesn't pay deadhead. So I chose to leave. My last week started out OK but went south quick. I was going to run the system but wound up dead heading 700 miles to get back to home terminal, to no loads. I just cleaned out the truck and came home.
I am sure other terminals could keep you working but the one I was at didn't seem to try and actively pursue new business. I was not the only one looking at moving on. There were several drivers looking at finding something else. I was the farthest from the terminal and didn't mind driving my personal truck to and from terminal for home time. But when you were ask to come in to preload a trailer that paid you 30 bucks and then expected to sit on the yard a day or 2 it was time for a change.
I cant say anything bad about the company. As a whole it is a good place to work. You just gotta research the terminal and see if it is company or affiliate owned. And then research the affiliate and see what kind of people they are. So Here I am back to looking for another job as this small town I live in, is like a ghost town for jobs. So good luck to you all. I'm Out. Hicksie

Thanks for reply Hicksie and sorry to hear about the account loss at your terminal. It sounded like you were happy there until then. I think Quality has a terminal in Spartanburg so I may give them a call. Not too far for me.
Sorry again for it not working out. Best of luck to you finding something better.

That sucks and I know what you mean about the lack of jobs over your way. I used to live over by Brevard. Quality also lost a big account in Cedar Rapids to our company. Seems they were back to creating phony wash tickets for this customer and got found out. Shame that a few higher ups can really screw the pooch for their drivers.

In North Carolina. Low Quality (poor look) trucks. Low Quality pay. Drivers are paid around $1250.00 or Less every two weeks. If you figure by hour Drivers make $14.00 or less an hour. Take a job with QC only till you fine a better paying Transport Company. QC may be bigger but not the best for Drivers. Warning. You will have to ride hard very hard to get $1250 every two weeks
