Thats the way it works in this industry. They will not pay for your physical or do your background checks until you show up for oreintation.

and also expect that even if you pass the physical with werner, then say about a month goes by and you find yet another job, you'll probably have to take yet another physical. this is what i recently went through. my former employers physical was only 3 weeks old when i started my new job. my new job wanted a new physical. guess what, my current job has lost the contract, and i will be staying on with yet another company that will require another physical.........!!
3 physicals with-in a 4 month period.........!!!
but do i care............NO.......they all pay for it, not me.........!!! -
I have seen a lot of people give up great jobs to go into trucking and get turned away after something with their physical or work history. I think it is a horrible game the trucking companies play with people's lives. They don't even care because if you leave, you are a tax write off.

When I went to USX I was later told they only needed 12 drivers to replace the 12 that had quit the dollar general dedicated....everyone else was just a bonus write off for the company.....There were 32 of us in all. -
dont think it is right but that is the way that they do

Has anyone considered having an attorney look at the contract before signing or is it that Warner does not offer that option, but rather gets you out to their location with no easy transportation back? Are they preying on applicants young in age (most without much money) who are trying to better their career and are not aware of the ramificatios of signing such a contract? Is not such a contract somewhat of a disgrace on Warner's part in that they continue to persue applicants who do not for one reason or another, work out and are left with a debt owed to Warner (not that they do not have enough problems one of which is very limited money which of course only adds to an already tough situation)? Isn't this a big bully preying on the ignorant and less capable to obtainn which is a very very sweet deal for Warner which is in a no loose situation. Has not this applicant who spent time money and effort to try to get into a field with rejection as the final result enough to pay? What other industry in the business world provides training for a job and then go after someone for reimbursement if the position does not work out? Someone please clue me in as to how this disgraceful practice can continue.
