Please, also go to ripoffreport and tell your story. Report JB Hunt there. You will have much company, believe me.
They are an EVIL outfit, and "bear false witness" upon good people.
They destroy peoples livelihoods, and their lives. Drivers have lost their homes, and unable to find gainful employment because of JB Hunt.

Every driver who has been kicked to the curb unfarily by JB Hunt, or have had their DAC report ruined by them, needs to go to RipOffReport and file a report. They are an EVIL outfit, and they bear false witness upon good drivers, and ruin their lives. Once JB messes up your DAC, you're lucky to get a job driving a taxi cab.

That would depend on what account you are on. The local account I was on in NJ, paid $180.00 a day salary. You might have a 6 hour day, an 8 hour day, occasionally, a 12 hour day. Usually, it ran about 9, no more than 10 hours a day. All drop and hook, or live load/unload. No touch.
Home Depot account paid well back in 2004, but I had seniority. They don't pay the new guys as much now, and in NJ, they are making Saturdays mandatory, so forget about having a life. Sometimes, the money's not worth it if you have no personal time to keep up w/ family/church/social obligations.
The company has really gone downhill, and they have become a joke in the industry again. Say you worked for JB Hunt, and the other trucking outfits just roll their eyes. You can give them your heart, your soul, and they will kick you to the curb in a heartbeat, for any imagined "infraction".
They are an evil and soulless outfit.

This also happens when hauling mail. In June 2007, I was laid off from a mail hauler called Rood Trucking (first layoff of two, mind you). We lost our NY runs to a competitor called Midwest Transport, Inc. Midwest kept the NY guys (who were already certified to pull those long Thruway doubles), but not ONE of us from Rood got on at Midwest.

I've had an app in with Midwest ever since. I have spoken to the local terminal manager. I have spoken with corporate in Illinois. Apparently, if they don't want to hire you, even if you're overly qualified (I already know the runs, the schedule, my work history shows I was never late taking a run out, I have a valid postal id, etc ), apparently if you worked for an outfit they don't like, you STILL won't get in the door.

My point is that notahappycamper could be correct. Companies roll their eyes when they see JB Slow on a resume. Midwest apparently won't hire you if they see Rood Trucking on an application. It isn't right.

Just about every trucking company will abuse your credit report, DAC and abuse you and your family life.
Even Landstar is starting to practice this.

Get of trucking as soon as you can and get back to a real life. It's time to make the logistics companies pay for good drivers.

You only applied. You don't have to accept their offer of employment. Keep looking.

    Hmm.

I was talking to one of my ex-co workers from the recruiting floor at JBHT. They said they're about to do away with most of the recruiting at hunt. At least In-House recruiting.

Yea, When I left in 2007, it was nearly 350 recruiting staff on floor 3. Now, i'm not so sure.

WOW! This forum was started in 04. AND, We still dont get that JB is not a company who we should go to work for. By the way if you really want to find out how they treat their drivers just talk to them(their drivers).

Yeah, JB is el crapo. I was with them for almost 4 years. Im sure they are getting rid of their recruiting because most of their trailers are being hauled by independents now. However, isnt it ironic how you see the same O/Os who complained about JB Hunt are now hauling their trailers lol.
