Being its refrigerated sitting at customers is part of it. I have the mindset that every customer I go to is gonna keep me for 5 hours. Then I don't get upset if they do. However I get detention after two hours. My 1300 is gross. Net is around 1100.

If you call recruiting ask them about regional dedicated. It pays you a minimum daily which is great when you do get stuck at customers but you can still run otr when they need you to. I'm on Georgia dedicated but I've run out to California before.

Another thing I like about WEL is I've never sat waiting for a load. If I leave out on Sunday night but for my first load of the week by midday Monday I'm planned out for the week.

Home every weekend with $1,300 in the bank sounds fantastic. Glad to hear from drivers who are genuinely happy.

I’ve run a few cheese loads for them.. Clovis, NM to Joilet, IL. They were always friendly and got me unloaded quick...nice people.

Getting home late Friday night or Saturday morning,
Then going to sleep at noon on Sunday afternoon,
So you can Make your 2 am delivery Monday morning
    Is not home on weekends.
That's a drive by day off.

    Don't lead these guys on.
Thinking there going to be home at 5 pm on Friday,
And leave back out on 8 am Monday morning.
Those of us who been around no better.
But a lot of new guys don't.

Cat sdp, Dale thompson and jethro712 Thank this.

Sitting at customers and still getting over $1000 a week ain't bad. Better than what I'm doing right now but I'm a newbie.

How can you gross $1300 and net $1100? Taxes, insurance, 401k, etc has got to be more than $200. Hell federal taxes and state taxes should be close to $200....

    pagan22 Thanks this.

Where does the OP say that? Or do you work there, and know this for a fact?

I have all insurance through my wife. I per diem pay. If I earn 1300 my take home is in the neighborhood of 1100.

I'm not leading anyone on. Some weekends I only take a 34. Most I get home on Friday by midday and leave out Monday. It must be amazing to know the intent of people you've never met. I have zero interest in leading anyone on. You can apologize just any time.

Not every state has income taxes. A 401k is supposed to be your savings...but I have my doubts. And if you don't need company insurance and have deductions...its in the ballpark
