    Its obviously been a while since I've worked on engines. SIS just says to lubricate the main and rod bearings. I'm assuming its a dry fit to the castings and oil between the bearing and journal? Or do the backside of the bearings as well?

    My pump will put out about 2000 psi, but it’s low volume, and I have a oil pressure gauge under the hood to keep an eye on it....

    I've got a brand new pilot pump for an excavator just chilling in my tickle trunk. I think it'd work perfectly for prelubing. No relief so I'll be using a gauge for sure.

    My pump will put out about 2000 psi, but it’s low volume. I have a gauge under the hood to watch the pressure, it’s never got above 30 lbs.
