Grabbed a load in Greenville, Sc going up to Omaha, but I will be dropping it at our Council Bluffs yard tomorrow afternoon and grabbing a loaded trailer going back down to Four Oaks, NC.
-
Cleared Four Oaks at 7am this morning and dispatch had me wait and wait and wait. Finally at 4:15pm they sent me home. Two days early. Freight must be slow.
runningman0661 and ncmickey Thank this. -

It was nice, just as last year, but the newness has worn off. It was more fun with you there. I had a buddy to talk to. I am inclined to pass on it next year choosing to be home with my wife's family.intrepidor, runningman0661 and dwells40 Thank this.

Good seeing you @runningman0661
And unexpected but pleasant surprise! Thanks for dinner!runningman0661 Thanks this. -
Absolutely, I’m glad it was you walking up to the truck and not the weirdo you were making yourself out to be. I thought for a minute I was going to have to spray you with my wasp spray. Enjoyed dinner and the conversation brother.

I finished orientation yesterday and I gotta say I was very impressed. You get to meet everyone from the different departments of the company including the president of the company. Everything seemed to move along a lot more smoothly than other trucking companies I have been to orientation at. They give you a free FCC T shirt, hat, and coffee mug.
I definitely believe runningman when it comes to them taking care of their equipment. First thing we did in orientation was talk to the shop guys and go over the procedures for maintenance. Then, they show you the truck you will be getting.
There was one other guy with me in orientation and I guess we got lucky because we both got brand new trucks. Mine had 120 miles when I first got in. It's a high roof cascadia with a manual 10 speed. It has collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning. It also has a fridge (not a factory Freightliner fridge, a bigger one with an actual freezer), 2000w inverter, flat screen TV mount, and APU. It also has front air suspension, to my surprise.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that the company trucks are no longer limited to 65. It's 68 now.
This morning I got my fuel card and they gave me a load that I picked up in Blair, NE going to London, AR so I could stop by Tulsa on the way to get the rest of my stuff put in the truck.
There's so much more to say but this post is already long, but it really seems like a great company so far. No complaints as of yet.MidWest_MacDaddy, gntorres61, runningman0661 and 3 others Thank this. -
