Basically Hummers we’re trying to cash in on the HMMWV military vehicles off which they were originally based. Everything was looking good until the 2008 economic downturn occurred.

Hummers were bought as a tax write-off. They were heavy enough to be a business expense for small business owners so qualify.
Went to a local business to business expo when they were hot, and no exaggeration a good 1/2 the lot was Hummers.

Yeah, If you drove a truck for a living- The last thing you'll want to do is drive when your not working-

I Love Cars-I have a Pickup for Work purposes/parts etc- But a Car for the family-

Had a 96 Park Avenue with the 3800 v-6 -Bullet proof motor- 300-400k easy.

Hate Driving Anywhere when Im not working- Fly when on vacation- Make my daughter or Wife do all the driving.....lol

No. They shared drivetrain components with gm vehicles but they were actually built by am general. There are tons of the H3's around here.

Actually H1 and H2 were built by AM General. The H3 was built by GM.
The H1 was rarer, only about 12k built. The H2 and H3 each had close to the same production at about 160K each.

I'm with you ! And GM and ford has virtually insured that they've seen the last of my money .
Already have a pick up and a near new impala LTZ.
20 years ago I looked down on people that bought Nissan's and toyotas but no more .
American auto makers finally lost my loyalty .
Took my sisters nissan altima for a 400 mile drive a few weeks ago and liked it !
