Oct 04, 2014 · Cincinnati, OH — A police department in Ohio whose history more closely resembles a street gang than a police department, has been shut down. Originally it was said to be a lapse insurance which caused the shut down of both the Lincoln Heights fire department and the police department Thursday at 12:00 am. The fire department’s insurance was quickly reinstated however the police department is proving to be quite the uninsurable risk.

It got so bad that the locals drove around the town as not to have to deal with the New Rome cops. The town was shut down in 2004 when the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas ordered the village dissolved. Those who live or have been in Cleveland know of Linndale.

I remember that. They also gained a super high percentage of total money brought in from traffic tickets. They would write ,< 5mph tickets if you were doing 2mph over. There was some state law that dictates how much money can be brought in from traffic tickets and they got caught on that too.
