If I didn’t have the unfortunate Entrepreneurial Spirit that my dad cursed all us kids with, I could be happy working for my company hauling milk the rest of my life.

Super Easy Peasy work, Awesome dispatch and top quality equipment with no governors.

But nope, I have to buy an old wreck of a truck and fix it up and see if I can make better of myself.

    Gotta make Dad proud.

    Got my first full check
    Paid for everything promised.
First time ever I received detention pay.
Guess I'll put up with the Bs.

Acessory pay can add up in a hurry. I use to be a little looser with my accounting and time tracking.

Now my detention clock doesn't start when I get on the scale or off the scale.

It starts when I pull into the parking lot waiting to get on the scale and ends when I get my final paperwork and start rolling.

This can be hours not accounted for.

I do Not put up with Krap for detention Time is money. Your holding me up.

My company agreed and pays it.

Time is money. Once it’s gone it’s gone.No one should be expected to work for free. As in first 2 hrs, or in Walmart’s case 3 hrs, no detention. How about 1 hour. I’m on time, you agreed to the appointment, 1 hour to unload at a set price. After that the price goes up, every hour progressively. Same as any industry, 1 hr minimum dock charge.

Our unloaders get 3 hours free than 20 an hour after That.
The company pays you 60 for all load outs and 20’an hour after that.

When your doing 400 mile turn and burns everyday 3 x6 adds up in a hurry as free work.

Most of the time I am right at 2-3 to get unloaded which suks.

I’ll still take it over the 7-8 hour unloads even though I make 80-100 in detention.

It screws up my schedule and makes my delivery time too tight.

Ah, trucking. Let's get 18 year-olds and immigrants behind the wheel! They don't know any better!
