Mannnnnnn FedEx is SLAMMED with freight. My home terminal in Nashville is busting at the seams. I was talking to a couple buddies behind the desk in linehaul. I said I haven’t seen it this busy since before Amazon started moving their own. They said this week has been the heaviest week they’ve ever had. Pretty good paying really light loads.

Lol can’t fit tires in a $12 envelope. But yeah it’s rare to see 20,000 pounds. I don’t usually get 53 footers until peak season. But they’re so light they’ll barely push down hill. The doubles run from 2000-18,000 each.

It should be a very busy holiday season this year. Unemployment at a 50 year low, black Friday and Cyber Monday sales at record highs. Things are looking up. A few months ago everybody was crying about the coming recession. What recession?

Peaks in buying, spending and employment are all what comes before a downturn. From memory, since the crash of 87 atleast, we havent nosed slowly into economic dips, theyve been pretty abrupt after speculative bubbles grew too big too fast. No one is questioning if another crash will come. The question no one can answer but should certainly consider, is how many more speculative growth surges can occur and be exploited before the next crash. And how big can that next crash be.

I have never seen so much simultaneous land clearing and construction as im seeing right now. Its almost a frenzy of development. Good time to be a land seller.

I agree with this in general scope.

There are at least three bubbles - personal credit cards, used car loans, and ARM home loans that are all peaking or accelerating towards a peak right now.

The famous "no income mortgages" are also back in style, which lines up with the real estate market leveling even in cities that mostly survived the last crash. DFW especially.

It's going to be a good couple of years for people who saved and own their own ####. Going to be a terrible decade for people who didn't learn from the last one.

Unemployment at a low....but majority of jobs dont pay worth a flip. Record sales....are people paying with money they have or credit? Sales always go up around the holidays. Come January, itll be shot
