1) i feel, if the company is already big, risk management allows the company to have resources for slow growth. i don't anything about the fantastic story of whoever was ceo going to vegas and scoring big, but this sounds more like greed vs. growth.
a) i extrapolate this to the individual: If you're already making a high salary, then risk management allows you to continue making that high salary and careful spending and investing generally means growth. Walking away from one 95-100K job for another one at a smaller company is too risky in my opinion. Walking away from a 95K job to a 200K job, then ok.

Well, since this is near the holidays, then this is sort of like when Charlie Brown got that little tree. He was like F it and F everyone else. i like this tree and i'm taking it home. Don't give a plop what anyone else feels or says.
Well, senator, i hope your little tree grows.Last edited: Dec 9, 2019

Last week started out somewhat below average but in the end turned out pretty great by my standards. Had the usual local runs all week and then also got kicked out of the hub one day with a run for a few hundred extra miles. It was a fluke that I got it at all, and I don't expect it to happen again any time soon but it was a nice change of pace.

This last week was fruitful. Snow resulted in linehaul being called off for the region, so I used that to burn the remainder of my sick time, since if we don't use it, it won't get paid out during separation. Double turned the hub every day except Friday, which my run was cut to fill a higher mileage run for not having enough drivers. The delay time was the result of discovering faulty airbags on not one but TWO of my trailers leaving my service center, resulting in them having to swing the freight into different trailers.
I'm still kind of in the dark on my vacation payrate, if it is calculated based on what I'm told of December to Novembers wages divided by 2,080 hours, then my vacation rate at the time of payout should be somewhere in the $44/hr range when they pay it out, so possibly $2,300 in vacation time that will also be paid out.
