Dads 1/2 brother worked in the mines many years ago, he left the mines and went to college to be a nurse of some kind. Lives in Florida now and complains it’s hot lol....,

My cousin owns his own company, he caters to hydraulic filtration for the mines. He use to have another place out in Utah, but the days of Hillary & Obama put a end to that and he shut it down. He still has a place in here in WV and has done ok the last few years. But mines are a thing of the past in my opinion, sad but it’s what I see and feel in my gut.

These pictures here are from a mine in WV in Cabin creek just off the WV Turnpike. Mine spent $$$ millions having the conveyor installed top to bottom, never got the first load of coal off of it..... the folks that installed it just leveled out a place and formed concrete pillars to set the stilts on, well, that only lasted till the first good rain when the water washed around the pillars some moved and threw it all out of alignment.
That’s me operating the drill back when I was a lot younger and thinner lol.
I drilled down to bedrock (not far) and then 10 feet into the rock and set I-beams on bottom, then concreted from the bottom up, then they poured new caps and mounted the conveyor to it. It stayed put that time lol.....,

I'm pretty much done with new vehicles. Too much useless crap that adds $15k to the purchase price.

    Music selection this morning

Only new vehicle I'll buy is the bronco if it looks like they think it will. Otherwise no more new vehicles either.

Heard rumours the Bronco will be getting a true manual transmission. A 7 speed. I may reconsider a new vehicle if Ford put that transmission in the F150.

Havent heard that. Depends what engine its stuck behind to determine if I'd get that option.

Really hoping it looks like this with a 5.0 being an option. I love the power of my eco but I need at least one exhaust manifold because mines warped and/or cracked and I've got timing chain rattle. cc812abb106876b976a263869bd581f7.jpg

Things are cleaned up construction wise. Except around 440 on the south side...65 down thru town is wide open.
