    I have 2007 9400I with Cat the guages
    Engine Oil temp. Transmission temp guages
    Quit working the Voltage guage when you accelerate goes backward 12.5 at night 13 volts day time also I notice trip meter jumps two tenths of mile some times 3 tenths of mile I have cleaned all grounds changed and cleaned battery cables had alternator checked at alternator shop I checked with volt meter voltage is correct

    You have bad connections on your ecm power feed. The volt gauge is reading directly what the ecm is seeing for battery voltage. Under load, your engine's injector require more electrical current from the ecm. With bad power supply wires, the ecm will lose power which will show on your volt gauge. The ecm has its own power supply direct from the batteries. Follow this and check all connections for anything sad looking.
