Well, they activated manual mode for gears 1 thru 9, which will help in slick conditions.

However, they said Bentonville will not allow them to activate manual mode for 10 thru 12, which we is actually needed as much as 1 thru 9.

Put the Jake on in 12th coming down a mountain, it will downshift on it's own to 9th or 10th, and rev it up to 2300-2500 rpms.

    Oh well!!!!!

Dam, that's rough talking to my next door neighbor..they (swift) have the same trucks but can switch to performance mode, and manually shift 1 thru 11... I guess wal-mart trust you guys less lol

That is interesting that they don't trust us with performance mode, and manual mode in the top gears.

I guess somebody sitting at a desk, that's never driven one of these things, figured Walmart could a nickel.

It's just goofy on their part!

Automatics are not that bad, but there’s always downfalls with anything. No real complaints about them other then a couple issues I’ve had. backing under a loaded trailer that’s dropped to low can have you jerking back. Or if the conditions of snow or ice it’s tough to get under a trailer sometimes. That will make you miss your clutch pedal.

Does walmart have a fuel mpg they’re trying to obtain as entire fleet?

I just got into a 2020 Cascadia from a Volvo. The Volvo did everything for you. So I assumed the first time driving the Cascadia would be the same too. I was wrong. My RPM's were high too. I then pulled over at the next rest area and read the manual.

The Volvo when you apply the brake pedal it would disengage the IShift. On the Cascadia the brake pedal is designed to work with your jake brakes.

Before you descend kick down your transmission to 8. (using your brake pedal will drop your gears) Once in 8th gear set your stalk to 1 or 2. When your RPM's start to go above 2000 tap on your brake pedal. It will keep your Jakes on but it will lower your RPM's. Once I figured it out it works perfect.
