Looking at loadshare air suspension for the front end of my 94 kw w900l. Wondering who has used their kits? My truck has 4 springs in the front so also think it might be beneficial to cut some out. Truck is rough but most of that is probably the ag400.

You do not reduce suspension as built in the factory. If the factory put on 10 leaf springs, that is what you got.

Now if you wanted to remove the springs entirely and install airride using a kit built for that exact purpose and can pass a annual DOT inspection after installing that kit, then I don't have a problem with it.

But you do not take a few springs out. You have all the springs or none at all.

I appreciate your opinion. I’m looking for any info from people who are for or against it. I also won’t be doing anything that would compromise the structure of my suspension. But I’m looking for a way to use air to take some of the load to smoothen the ride out. I’m not sure just installing bags with my existing springs I have is going to accomplish that.

Do you have experience with any kits or the loadshare kit?

I've never done it but the local Western Star dealer specs out new trucks all the time with 20+ front ends and when they show up they take springs out. Not sure of the logic behind it but they do it a lot and there's never been any issues that I've heard about

My guess is for ride quality. I don't believe we're not allowed to pack 20k lbs on a steer axle here in western Canada, are we? If they added air bags and a leveling valve I bet they get a real nice ride when empty.

    I appreciate the thoughts.

I have nothing more to provide in way of ideas etc.

I got an email from donvill and some photos. Tbh the welding on the brackets doesn’t look super nice and they attach to the springs in a way I’m not a fan of. Using 4 Firestone riderite bags that look similar to my bunk bags. Seems like a pretty expensive setup at $1400 us for that. They also say they have an air stabilizing system. I’m assuming some sort of valve that limits the speed the air can leave and enter the bag.

Decided to fit an ag130 into my truck. Have picked up some parts of a used suspension and gonna see how I can make it work.
