X-15 Cummins thread

I'd also love to hear more about the X15 E 500 because I'm buying one soon and I'm kinda panicking because of all of the negative reactions.

where did you see negative writings about x15?

 

I've felt like in this very long thread there have been lots of lots of negative reactions towards the efficiency vs performance.

There was one person though who said that if he did it all over again, he'd pick the efficiency over the performance because of price and fuel economy.

Maybe it's just my imagination.

Regardless, I'd love some more feedback from x15 efficiency 500hp owners.

I personally did not get much insight into the X15 efficiency 500hp from it at all so I don't understand your reply.

 

little late, but if you are getting an X15E in a Paccar truck, you will be fine.

After almost 2 years, International finally admitted their cooling package caused the EGR cooler failures on those trucks. Not that it matters, as the company who had the 5 new LTs that failed (I drove for) is long since bankrupt and dissolved. But since they still had contact info for me, I got an update on the “incident file” lol.

I would also like to say, that after 1 year and 4 months, I regret buying my Volvo 760. I should have gotten a T680/579 with a X15E and had warranty done thru a Cummins shop vs. Dealer.

My X15 performance has 85k on it and is running flawlessly. Happy so far.
