    From FMCSR 395.8

"The CMV may be used for personal conveyance if it is laden, since the load is not being transported for the commercial benefit of the carrier at that time. Personal conveyance does not reduce a driver’s or motor carrier’s responsibility to operate a CMV safely. Motor carriers can establish personal conveyance limitations either within the scope of, or more restrictive than, this guidance, such as banning use of a CMV for personal conveyance purposes, imposing a distance limitation on personal conveyance, or prohibiting personal conveyance while the CMV is laden."

In orientation they said their policy is you can use it even if you have a load if you are stuck at a shipper or receiver and they don't have overnight parking.

O/O are not governed, also we don't have to follow the new fuel proceedure. We do get the discount at company fuel stops.

    mushroom1464 and runningman0661 Thank this.

McDaddy would have been here if FCC hired out of South Florida. I don't believe they hire below the I4 corridor.

Dropped my load in Hereford TX on Monday, grabbed another load from nearby Amarillo and dropped in Chatsfield MN. Bounced to Worthington MN three hours away for a short hop to Columbus NE tomorrow, then grab a load from Columbus going to Four Oaks NC for Monday. Probably squeeze a 34 after grabbing my eastbound load. The storm before the quiet?

Stayed in Ellensburg, Washington lastnight, got up this morning early and went over Snoqualmie (chain law was up) delivered in Seattle. Bounced down to Tacoma, currently getting live loaded heading to St Paul, Minnesota for Monday. The weather is going to suck this weekend, so this should be a fun trip running across I90.
