My situation with watkins is the same as danc, believe it or not Soon 2 be too; We just have different ways of handling it basically. Danc said to hell with them and soon 2 be pretty princess loves to be gone for months on in to sum it up.

thats true nawlins, i miss the old shortline work, well the pay really, kinda miss the work, but not so much, this is a job for me no way around it, but on the same hand im in a better seat then prob 95% of the people out here, im out here cause i wanna be out here, i dont stay out for as long as i do cause i cant get home, but because i like it out on the road, i havnt really asked to head on home yet, y be there when i can be here.. 63 days now im out, im going on vaca next week... got me an rv and going to have a blast! and if i see a w.s trk it will really ruin the whole vaca!!!! so if an rv passes u like a mad man it'll be me!!!!

and nawlins, what exactly do you mean you " got knocked up " cause iv only heard that term used when someone gets an un-expected child, but you clearly say " I got knocked up ", anything you wanna tell us?

 

I am wondering if anyone out there could helP shed some light on watkins shePard recruiting Process. I have been working for a moving comPany for little over a year, worked for coca cola from 92 to 99 but, worked overseas for an N.G.O. Prior to coming back to the states a couPle of years back. My Point is that I am a exPerienced local driver with a sPotless record but, have not been driving all of that time (gaPs in my exPerience as a driver and, only local). I have done everything sandy steffke (the recruiter) has asked. she says that they are currently finishing uP aPPlications for the next orientation on the 3 of august, and that after that she will be getting me done for an orientation on the 12th of august. what should I exPect, and will they hire someone like me who does not seem to fit the category either newbie, or exPerienced driver. It has been a Problem for me. Please, can someone advise

 

Cali I'm assuming u have an up to date cdl, with a good driving record. If so thats good watkins ask for no experience anyways; I'm not sure but you have been gone for a long time so they might start u out at newb wages ( ask when you get to training).

Aug 12 is not that far off so I would aleast call back soon to see how soon the app process will be done for the 12 class or the deadline.

 

Cali, chances are good, that IF they ask you to come to orientation that you will get hired, as long as you can prove you can drive and back. good luck

 

Just talked to Sandy, going to school there is an expensive proposition...and no tuition reimbursement for working for them...and like you all said they don't do financing.
