So in other news I think I did a pretty lousy job on my initial assistant transportation manager, managers interview on Tuesday. I got a couple questions right and a couple questions not so right and a couple question I thought I could have done better on. So I'm sure someone else did better then me, so I don't think I'll be in management, but that's how it goes. I'll be okay where I am.

    You did fine.
Most managers know that they are human, and bound to make mistakes. You and I both know and have worked for that singular moron who isn't capable of linear thought. And they make the worst managers.

    You'll be fine.

FlaSwampRat, Banker and Mike2633 Thank this.

Thank you for the vote of confidence.
I’m of the school of thought that figures that leadership sees the applicant names come across the board and already knows who they want and the rest is just a formality. In other words they knew who was going to apply and already had a winner picked out, in there mind to begin with.

My schedule was cancelled yesterday. Would have preferred too run, but didn't mind having an afternoon to do a little rabbit hunting instead. Made the dog happy too.

Ughhh today is my sixth day. I really hope it doesn't turn out to be a 15 hour day like last Friday. There are upsides to being off the road and not bound to hos such as the money.....well that's about it lol.

McUzi, Cardfan89, MACK E-6 and 5 others Thank this.

Are you in the yard or office or on the dock filling out paper work?

I guess my router thought he was doing me a favor by giving me only 14 deliveries and interline freight. But the routing was so bad I wound up running probably an extra 40 miles by the time all was said and done.

Hell, today took longer than yesterday’s 21 deliveries and 3 pickups.

Okay so I'm all in, every final trailer is on the doors, trucks are put away etc. There is like two hours left in the warehouse and I can't leave even tho everything on my end is done. Just in case something comes up lol. Like what? Trailer falling over while it's on the dock? Nothing I could do about that anyway.

Why do you think they asked you to apply. They saw what they wanted and asked for it. You did just fine.
