    Hey Jess-Juju,
I see in your last post your in "Yuppieville", ID. Which "Yuppieville" would that be? There are several down around Boise and up around Coeur d'Alene.

I was curious with regards to Central Refrigerated about how much they run up to the Seattle/Tacoma WA area. Since I have been considering them to start with I have not seen a single Central truck on I-5 in my 1 1/2 hour one way commute every day. Kinda of making me a little nervous about how much home time I might get. Don't get me wrong, I expect to be out for 4-5 week stretches most of the time, but I sure would feel better if I could see a Central truck going by so I know they actually come into this part of the world.

Boise Area, For another 13 days, then we are thinking of moving down south to AL.

JJ delivered in Seattle last week!

You shouldn't have a problem getting home.

Thanks! And thanks for the friendly welcome. I grew up in Meridian/Eagle/Boise area which has turned into "Yuppieville". That gave me a good chuckle!

Thanks for the input on the recruiter. I have not even been able to talk to my recuirter so I am not sure where things stand with Central right now. I know they must be pretty busy as it sounds like they have a lot of new recruits and a lot of turnover to cover. I guess I'm too impatient about some things. I'm just anxious to get this new career going now that I've made up my mind to do it.

If you did an online App then give the recruiting department a call to make sure they got your app and ask if they have any idea how long before you can get into school.

We live in Meridian and I hate it!! We have to park the truck a few miles from the house as the subdivision thinks a semi is an eyesore :biggrin_2552:

Yeah, there are a lot of subdivisions in Meridian with really restrictive covenants. City code does not allow commercial vehicles to park on residential streets either and those MPD guys/gals love to write parking tickets!

Yeah man, I think it really depends on the type of person you are and how fast you learn. Some people when starting out with a company get angry at some event and end up leaving. Well, it might turn out that that person just didn't understand something or wasn't expecting something. That's why you should do tons of research, lol. I wish you the best of luck! Let us know how your training starts out, I'd like to know! :biggrin_255:

I talked to the recruiter last week and faxed my app in on Monday (7/27). Have been exchanging a few emails this week. I got an email from him on Wednesday that said everything looked good so far and that he needed to do a phone interview. But have not heard from him since and no response to my phone calls or emails? But, like I said, I anxious to get started and not too patient about some things. I realize I'm on there schedule, not mine.

Your right, one can never get too much information. I will try to keep posting about the process and the training, if and when I ever get there. I was hoping to start training on Monday August 17th, but I need to give my current employer 2 weeks notice and can't get in touch with my recruiter at the moment. I can't give notice until I know for sure I am at least accepted to the school and have a confirmed start date.

I know everyone says they will keep their posts going and then that's there last message so I am not going to promise anything I can't deliver, but I will try to to my best. I know in doing my research consistent web postings from new students and other drivers have been helpful so I will try to keep things updated.
