Hi I’m a recent CDL grad. Tanker endorsement. Hazmat endorsement applied for but haven’t received it yet. Looking for Wisconsin company preferably local runs. A night or two out would be okay. I’d like to drive tanker but looking for something to get experience at this point. Location is Monroe Wi. Any suggestions? I’ve applied to multiple very small local companies.

You're in a lousy area for local work. Madison and beloit have a ton of local work, but you're an hour from either and 2 hours in the car plus 12-14 in the truck makes foe long days.

As you go about life look at the names on day cabs and then start making calls. Figure out who does the fuel hauling in your area and see if they hire stone cold rookies.

I’ve got an in with local fuel hauler. I need 6mons+ other experience for them to hire me. But that’s ultimately what I want to do.

Been looking at milk. We have cheese factories everywhere.

I may end up commuting to Madison or Janesville. I’ve been looking at the names on day cabs for a year. Figured I’d see if anything new comes up on here.

May have to suffer through some longer runs in order to qualify for that fuel job in 6 mos.
Here's a good one with decent paychecks and will reimburse cdl school tuition back to you.

I saw a Roehl flatbed truck coming out of Los Angeles yesterday, but you won't be doing that on the dedicated account with Kraft.
    * Here's and interesting tidbit of info:
    Granite City, Wisconsin
Granite City is a ghost town in the town of Wyoming, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, United States. The settlement was located in section 13 of the town of Wyoming, and had formed before Wyoming was split from the larger Town of Helvetia in 1890.
