Okay here's a little rant! Just something to be aware of about ShipEX. They seem to have an ongoing problem communicating with the drivers properly. Some drivers have complained about being talked down too and disrespected. I have not experienced that much but kinda see it in the tone of a few here and there. New drivers that are not aware get frustrated early on because they are not aware of the systems and they don't know who to trust. All in all the main focus of the company is to treat the drivers well but that gets broken down once they start getting dispatch and the driver can't seem to get answers to any problems they may have. They do have a drivers board and you can reach out to them because they have experience dealing with ShipEX management so it would be wise if you do. Or find someone that already works here and make a friend or 2 to help you in the beginning.

Delivered in Buffalo NY and now on a short run to Indian. They set me up perfectly on this one because im low on hours and I have good amount of time to get this done. I'll be running off recaps but have 10 hrs a day coming back to me over the next few days.
First things first tho, gotta get me some breakfast and a shower. Then.. truck on!Upinsmoke, Tx Countryboy, mushroom1464 and 5 others Thank this. -
After Indiana, they loaded me up and sent me to St Cloud MN. Then from St. Paul MN to Dallas TX.
Fortunately I just missed the Snow in MN. Whew!
However when i got to Texas my next load to Shasta lake Ca was not lining up, dispatch couldn't get ahold of the customer to find out why my load that was suppose to be there was not there??.
Anyways..Ended up sitting most of Friday all day Sat and Sunday on Thanksgiving weekend. Sunday the lead dispatch called me and ended up giving me a new load to Applevalley. So .. was gonna take home a little later but decided to just take it now. Taking a break for 4 days and then back at it!Upinsmoke, mushroom1464, Vic Firth and 4 others Thank this. -
They just called me, gotta love voicemail transcripts

Well,I left a friend of mine here in Pennsylvania go first to ShipEx and "test the waters" and I have to say I am glad it wasn't me. After three months in he said he is getting Christmas under him and getting out, no wiggle room on the loads, everything is hammered down to the hour including some kind of "formula" of how to run your trips which amounts to like 700 miles a day and something like 3-4 hours to run the final. If he tries to to "set" a schedule for himself, like days versus nights they will flip him to nights every time he picks up a new trip and his run times are all over the clock and If he decides to deviate from the "formula" of 11 hours a day and shut down early they are calling him and reminding him he still has hours available to run. Then he had to fight like hell to get home after orientation to get his supplies and some medical equipment he has to use and it took them two weeks or more just to do that, now I talked to him this morning and he has home time scheduled for the 23rd and he is delivering to New York Sunday but has no preplan other than they will get him something sometime on Monday, after the fiasco with getting him home after orientation he is starting to get a little worried about his upcoming home time. I think where I am at is where I am going to stay, it all comes down to whatever works for you and makes you happy.
RoadCall, Upinsmoke, JForce28 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I haven’t spoken to my dispatcher in 3 weeks. I had to mess around for 4 hours today getting my load adjusted and legally scaled. So i drove 250 miles and parked. When i get a load it has a delivery time and date. I get it there on that time and date. If i have a breakdown or weather slow down they adjust it as necessary. No one has ever called me and told me to get back out on the road and use up my hours.
Upinsmoke and mushroom1464 Thank this. -
700 miles a day~you’ve got to be kidding with the new ELD I can’t see that happening things would have to work out just perfectly~I could be wrong though
Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
Upinsmoke, McUzi, mushroom1464 and 2 others Thank this.
