I disagree. The contract states 75% of 99% of the linehaul. Plus 100% fscs and other charges. I expect it to be right every time.
Now that being said, I don't believe the accusations being made. While I haven't asked for a copy if the invoices in a while, I have in the past and they were made available without question or any threats to canceling the contract.
Beware crooked Mercer!

Well they sure are fighting hard not to give me the contracts. So hard they are flirting with contempt of court. Invoices are easy to doctor. You ask to see an invoice so they show you an invoice that matches your settlement. Contracts are signed by the shipper and can be verified by sending the shipper a subpoena. Mercer wants to stop this from happening at all costs. Have to ask yourself why.

I’m not sure how to even respond to this pretzel logic. So I won’t.

Contacts is a broad term. In the context of truth in leasing regs have no right to the actual contracts. We have a right to the original freight invoice or bill.
A valid reason they don't want to share a copy of doing contacts with you could be as simple and legit as not wanting you to go undercut them with the person in charge if carrier negotiations at the customer. Business is brutal, lots of competing carriers would pay a large sum to get their hands on those.roshea Thanks this. -
I have always felt this is wide spread in the percentage based game. I guess the "Morrell" to the story is, you go asking alot of questions your ### gets #### canned. At least that's my take.
dwells40 Thanks this. -
What did you have a problem with? I asked a question that you did not answer. I was not arguing one way or another, just asking a simple yes or no question. You were told the load paid X amount to the truck, is that what you were paid or not?

I am with you 100%. Over the years I too have gained a wealth of knowledge from sueing people. You are absolutely 1000% correct in getting a law library card and for anyone else reading this you, yourself can too beat the bully's at this crap that so many try to get over on people.
Thanks for your post in letting driver's out here know that the law is on your side -
Because they don't want to alienate the customer?eebrown and spyder7723 Thank this.

Or give the competition the customers info.
A rate con on brokered freight and a freight invoice on direct freight is more than sufficient for the purposes of knowing if you are getting the full amount you are due.Rickp Thanks this. -
It sounds as though you are saying it’s okay if Mercer breaks our contract and pays less than 75% as long as they successfully tricked me into accepting the load because I was dumb enough to believe the rate quoted was 75%. Therefore I should just get over it and let Mercer get away with it.nikmirbre Thanks this.
