I fuel at ta/petro, best fuel discount. I like pilots wifi better so if I dont shower at ta I use my buddies pilot number for showers as he is a city driver home everyday.

When I fuel at the pilot I only get one shower for buying 50 gallons or 150 gallons.
I started running the pump up to 50 gallons and then shut the pump off and then run my card again then I get at least 2 showers per fuel stop.
It should be a shower for every 50 gallons bought but that’s not how it works..

That's why I switched all of my fueling over to Loves. As long as I buy 1,000 gallons this month then next month I get a free shower and drink refill daily. In a year I can buy 1,000 gallons 10-12 months. I think Pilot used to have a similar plan called Shower Power. Plus I get 3 points per gallon on my reward card.

I was at a Pilot and purchased 150 gallons. Was under the impression that I would get 3 showers to my credit, but sadly discovered that I can only get 1 shower per credit. Next time I'm purchasing a full tank, I'll just make two separate purchases. Thoughts?

Ok, Good Point, But your telling us that a Shower that Cost $5 in 1994 SHOULD cost $15 today

That is a 200% increase in 25 years......That wate rbill and Wages have not increased 200%..

Shower Should be around $8-9 dollars.... ...

Then people wonder why society is so pissed off all the time- Big Business Getting away with what they can.

These types of statements tend to get overstated in some instances. Yes, on average many Love's locations do tend to get backed up at the fuel isles (which is either a testament to something Love's is doing right or increasing numbers of fleets getting fuel discounts through Love's), but many times I can typically get in and out of one in under 30 minutes...I'm just better about which locations I stop at, and the times of day that I do choose to stop.

The cost of the shower, or everything in life for that matter, is what they can get away with. If people are willing to pay $15 today then the cost is what it is.

I worked 5 to 6 days a week from the week before Thanksgiving through the 22nd of December. I had to buy fuel exactly twice in that stretch. Not every operation is based on 2500+ miles a week. Installing running water into my truck was one of the best things I ever did.

Actually if you stop and think about it, it's surprising it isn't even more. I'd guess the cost of doing business for a truck stop has gone up more than 200%.
Not just in easy to see ways such as labor costs, but behind the scene ways. Insurance, property taxes, electric water and sewage, workmans comp, garbage disposal, county city and state licensing fees, the list goes on and on and on.
