Overweight ticket

Overweight tickets don’t go on a carrier’s CSA. They haven’t since a few months after CSA2010 started.

 

I got ticket and inspection

 

Doesn’t matter. Overweight doesn’t affect the carriers CSA score. It might show up but there are no points with it for the carrier.

 

To the OP I would suggest talking to your driver or drivers about this. If they load somewhere they should know where the air gauges need to be to be legal. If they take the load its on them. If they take it to the scale and they are over and call you and you say run it anyways the ticket is on you.

 

It did in the beginning. But looks like it was changed early on the in program. Don't know what year though.

How so, it gives responsibility to either party so they know who is going to be out the money.

 

It's on the driver unless the company has signed a waiver excepting the overweight ticket. I drove for Valley Bulk Inc, and they supplied us with a weight release, so at the DOT Scales they would write the ticket straight to Valley not the driver. The release also included also included condition of vehicle.

They required us to load bulk tankers to max, 80,000 gross. Frequently ran at 92,500 which was all the Gypsum it would hold.

When I got my overweightS. It was in my name. But both companies paid for it.

1st one was on a construction job.
2nd one office told me I was totally legal. Which I was except for Oregon.
