anyone see wing ding; I need to know if he had an cdl as a copier fixer.
If not did he take that reimbursement. -
Naw'lins...I have had my CDL since '91 if its any buisness of yours. I paid for it myself out of my own pocket after getting HONORABLY discharged from the USAF after 13 years of service and serving in Desert Storm. After driving for serveral years I was injured and spent 4 years having surgeries, so I chose a different carreer path for a while (copier repair tech), then decided to come back to carreer I truly like (driving). There now you dont need to do anymore background check on me. If there is anything else you would like to know about me feel free to ask. HAHA I just looked at your age and completely understand everything now. You are PART (I dont mean everyone has this mentality) of the generation that wants everything for free. You seem to think the world owes you a living, well I got news for you..it doesnt. So pull up your big boy panties and deal with it. If your life as a truck driver is so miserable....Please find something else to do with your life.

Ok I was bored and I figured out what a first year W/S Driver (in a perfect world) would make:
365 days in a year, you can legally run 70 hours in an 8 day period, then a 34 hour reset. Assuming you can run 11 hours and 500 miles for 6 days straight, and a day of home time for every week out (52 weeks in this case as a 1st year driver gets no vacation), then you can run 39 sets of 70 hour weeks. If you manage 500 miles a day, then you can run 3000 miles a week. Assuming that, 39 x 3000 = 117000 x $0.28/cpm (average between the .27 0-6mo and .29 6mo-1yr rate) = $32,760
Even in the best circumstances I don't see how any driver could make the $40,000+/yr they say you can make...unless you have a lead foot and never go home.
Are there any W/S drivers that could shed some light on what they make and what a new driver could expect in terms of miles/week and actual take-home $$$? -
Unless they have changed things. You get paid for bumping the dock.
Unlike other companies, W&S doesn't consider stop 2 of a 6 stop load, your first stop. -
You just disqualified yourself as a driver trainee for doing the math. Spreading facts like this can you get blacklisted in this industry. You are messing with millions of dollars in advertising that does not deal with the facts. Now get back in the bleachers with the chearleaders before yiou get us all in trouble.

I now see why u and ur generation have no clue times have changed sir we switched from the natzi camps long time ago. My generation sir knows hating on your fellow man sucks.
its removed insult like u who worry about the wrong thing why u would not like to see a newb get a little extra out there is beyond me.

Well like Danc said, there is more to it than that, apparently I don't have the facts so I can't spread them
-
Yeah, that's why I said "in a perfect world", I figured there would be other circumstances.
As for why I made the post...I was bored, I don't think I will be blackballed because I made a post on a forum. If you want to call up every trucking company and say "this guy JW430 is talking crap about you" be my guest. It was never meant to slander the company and I still want to drive for them, I was just surprised at the numbers I came up with. Anyway I thought this forum was where I was supposed to look to to get the facts, I guess I was wrong.
