Anything can be expunged, as long as it is not an infration. I have never heard of it being easy and attorney-free though. Your looking at the same uphill battle as everyone else who didn't have a judge that was in a good mood.

 

Two different agencies, two separate sets of circumstances to an employer. I am not qualified to give legal advice, so I won't. I can tell you that it is not easy to get things expunged OR taken off your driving record, and it usually involves paying big bucks to Atty. Goldstein.

I could give you links all day, but I would not want to be liable for telling you something that generally is true albiet different in your unique situation. Every case and every county and every judge acts differently.

I would say that you are probably looking at some time before you can put the DUI behind you. I think that it would be best to find an employer that is willing to listen to your explaination, if there is one.

 

Let me see if I understand what you are saying: You have 56 years experience as a mechanic. Your getting out of trucking school. You want to buy/lease a truck. You live in Alabama and you want to run regionally, locally, or else OTR with home time on the weekends?

If that is what you are offering, I would say your success would depend on how much money you have to invest. If you want to jump into trucking in this economic climate with NO experience or industry insiders to mentor you and hook you up, it will dpend on how much money your interested in losing.

I would suggest staying away from lease/purchase programs for major companies. You'll end up making less than an OO, which could mean ($400)/week.
