Go to a dealer for heavy equipment and get their jumper cables. When you see them you too will understand why.

I don't bother with cables in heavy trucks anymore. Particularly if the computers became too delicate to accept a surge across that starter motor. An alternative is a nuetral roll downgrade and drop the clutch into 2nd. If it does not accept that and fire then it's time to find a road service tow.

I carry a set in our vehicles at home, and they are the biggest most flexible gauges copper you can find anywhere. There is even a spare battery in it's own container capable of topping off a almost dead battery. But once your battery is discovered to be dead, dead and dead not even God can bring it back to life. Time for a new battery and a shop diagnostic to find the short that killed it.

I do like them I use welding cables just go to any welding shop tell them what you are doing and they will help you just tell them you want some of the cutting torch bands to hold the cables together like the cutting torches and a flat screwdriver and hammer will seal the jumper cables together

Welding cables. I got mine from a local sale barn 20$ probably 50years old. Used them to jump tons and tons of equipment and other stuff that they shouldn’t have been used for.

Did you put clamps on them or just clamp them to the posts with vise grips or ?

I doubt that would work with an auto trans.
Or if you are not on a downgrade.

When I worked for Provost, the staff from Alberta told stories of "special' cold weather delivery hoses still snapped like kindling once the temps plummeted...though the best was the Owner Op from NC telling the story of his first morning in Thunder Bay at -40....

I live in the north. Ever try to roll up an air line onto a reel at -40. It doesn't happen lol. They don't snap unless you try though.

Owner Op...handle 'Corn Cob' rolled in to Thunder Bay at night and slept in his warm truck not really aware of the outside temp until he jumped out to water the tires. He thought the first breath froze his lungs.

He went out and bought an APU thru Montreal before ever going back to Atatibbi Price...
