    What is the deal with these "tablets"? I'm guessing they run full Android vs the non-tablet devices. Does anyone use one of these in place of a general purpose tablet?

    Tablet is just a name and added functionality... I used the RM740 and it’s running on Android ... but doesn’t allow people to add Apps to it... still just an Android Tablet with programmed limitations... that way they can charge more for the “Tablets”

    My preferred option is an Apple iPad mini on my dash for weather, radar, maps... my GPS is used solely for directions and Routing.... at first I thought I would want an App on my iPhone/iPad and not a stand alone unitasker... but I prefer leaving the gps dedicated to its sole purpose.

    It has added functionality when compared to a RM TND740. A camera for example.
