Beyond the unfortunate event next door, today was an interesting day. Will see what the aftermath (if any) of it is tomorrow when I go in. What I do know, is if I'd of been the one driving the truck today stuff would have been done how it should be done, and I'd of been back when I needed to be.
On a lighter note, got a good laugh at the expense of my daughter.
Made myself an evening cup of coffee. Always includes a healthy dose of whiskey. I put it down on the table in the living room so I could make a quick run to the head. I come back out and my daughter was standing by the fire place. She decided to be cheeky and try to steal my coffee when she saw me, and as she approached it I said "KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OF THAT YOU STICKY FINGERED ****"
She smiles and takes a big swig... She didn't know it was laced with Jack Daniels so her reaction was amusing.
"GOD **** IT! There's booze in it! My throat is burning! I didn't know!"
I look at her and say....
"Why do you think I told you to put it down you idiot, would I have been defensive of non boozed joe?"
(She's 17, so it's ok for her to swear and for me to call her an idiot)
