In the four days I worked I grossed 932.80.

I've looked at Estes, but I would need all my endorsements.

Looks like I need start studying.

####! Ok, I know what my future plans are.

Can you tell me what I should expect as far as pay and time off is for a new hire at Estes? Also I'm better driving at night then I am at day is that even an option?

I understand your problems @Project Mongoose I'm on the Tractor Supply account in Charlotte and it's the same way, except it's mostly Lease/Owner Ops that get our freight which makes us not have anything to do but go help out Chep in Benson or the water boys in Mooresville. I'm trying to break into LTL, specifically linehaul, I have all of my endorsements (Have to get my background done for Hazmat but passed the test already) the thing is I have about 11 months of driving experience. I got a call for a combo driver position at Estes today in Charlotte, I'm still taking in information about it but I haven't made up my mind if it's worth it or not. Nothing formal has been discussed yet, supposed to have a follow-up interview soon.

What's sad is the account manager doesnt care about the drivers, only makin sure the loads are delivered. Have had several drivers over the years come and go because of getting such low miles. Had a few students get onto the account and only get like 1700 to 1900 miles a week. After three weeks they quit. And I cant blame them. 1900 miles a week and they start at 31 com on the target account...you cant make a living with that cheap of pay. I figured since I've been here for so long I wouldnt have any issues. I mean hell, there is only one other driver that's been on this account longer than I have.

    @Project Mongoose
If you're wanting to be home everyday, I'm out.
If you don't mind a day or 2 or 3 on a linehaul (terminal to terminal 90%), day cab, paid hotels at night, layovers paid... no endorsements needed.. I can probably hook you up.

    Our terminal is in Conover.
We have a linehaul op that shuttles to Indy, Tupelo, Orlando, Baltimore, Boston, Grand Prairie TX, and we have Riverside CA but you wouldn't go that far.
    Pretty much a drop/hook deal.
Periodically a terminal wont have a load to move and you'll get an empty and go live load somewhere, but it's not that often. We move our own freight.

Hit me up if you want info.

We also have an LTL division that pays a higher cpm and stop pay, but you gotta get out and work.

If you wanna keep moving here, you can make a good living.
That $1300 is not a problem as long as you wanna keep moving.

HD_Renegade and Project Mongoose Thank this.

Not afraid to stay out a few days. I'm the type of driver that likes to keep moving. A day cab moving from concord to texas? How does the hotels work? Corporate card or refund on pay check?

Is this w2 or 1099? Insurance available? And of course, what's the name nm of the company? Thanks in advance.
