One of my fellow students went with TMC after he graduated in June. He isn't hating it so far, but he is still in their training stage.
TMC total confusion NOW!!!

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

This whole spending tax dollars to train people for a job they will ultimately hate is really burning my ###. Lots of lies and deceit in this industry, and the government is enabling these people to treat people like crap.
On paper, it looks good, sure, we're getting people jobs.. Great.
Did it occur to them that these jobs aren't due to an overabundance of freight needing to be hauled, but rather that trucking companies aren't doing what they tell people they are going to do, which in turn causes problems for them keeping people sitting behind a wheel?
I wish the government would wake up, and set some standards for these trucking companies like the 9 to 5 workers get. That'll be the day, huh? It seems like there are more and more desperate people, going blindly into the trucking industry with little more than the shred of hope the recruiter gave to them about how they're going to make great money as "paid tourists", god this couldn't be farther from the truth!
Maybe i'll start a website to lobby against this >.< -
Well every mans ceiling is anothers floor.. Thats a least a positive way to view it.. I was truly thinking that $800 - $1000 wk on average was possible flatbedding...

craigP...Your changing career's,there's allway's a need for driver's.You've got bad and good with any company you sign on with, you've got the B.S. as well with any place you work for, your gonna have your up's and down's, And your Dispatcher will tell you little white lie's in order to suit his and the company's need's.
Now after all that being said TMC is one of the better companies to hire onto if you can, should you not like it there, try and stick it out for at least 1 year, company's frown upon driver's changing to often. Good luck and keep us updated. -

I am 1 of the many that has to seek, find, another career after 30 years in one field. I know hard work,, done my share then some. My father was a trucker, I have researched it for quite sometime from many perspectives. It will never be 9-5 standards,, never,, but I only seek to to enter a field that the income is equal to my output. Gave OTR thought on many occasions,, but now it is shaping up to be a must,, just want an honest fair shot,,

Thanks Binder,, I will keep you updated. Glad there is genuine interest in a fellow trucker/person. We all need each other a helluva lot more than any of us really knows.

I completely agree with what everyone here is saying, as a new driver you could do worse than TMC.
