The company is Zenith Freight.
It's on hwy 70 across from the Fairgrounds near the Hky Speedway. If you're from the area, you prob know where I'm talking about.
Guys come and go here... but mostly on the LTL side, because it's so hands on and most people are just lazy.
I made 100k this year.
You could run a stop load Ohio and a stop load GA and be home every weekend and make 80k and not kill yourself.
When I say home weekends it'll vary.
You might get back Thurs night and have to leave Sunday at noon.
You might get back Sat afternoon and stay in till Monday afternoon.
The harder you work and the more dependable you are for these folks... the more laid back they are.
The linehaul drop/hook pays less cpm because they reward the guys that handle the freight that pays the bills.
You can still make a good living running the system and not fingerprinting freight.
It's what YOU want to do.
I can't say for certain exactly the cpm the linehaul guys get... it's less than LTL.
Our scale is...
.50 to start
.53 after 6mo
56 after 10yr
THATS HUB MILES... not practical crap.
$20 a stop.
A lot of times you'll stop for 2 or 3 pcs of furniture and be there for 5 minutes. $20.
That's why LTL pays more.
A lot of my loads average
.85 cpm when you put in the layover pay that comes as well.
They also pay on a per diem scale. $66/day is non taxed since the new tax laws went into effect.
