    1. Learn as much as you can. Dont just get a CDL and drive. Become a great driver.
    2. Keep your personal business YOUR business
    3. If someone thinks youre dumb, dont waste the effort to change their mind.
    4. Wear a bra when you get out of your truck every time you get out of your truck.
    5. Nothing wrong with being a lady. Just stay a lady.

Not 'mind your own business'...keep your business (any and all personal info, hobbies, tatoos and piercings, whatever) your business. Do not volunteer info. And just remember: for every piece of crud out there, theres 4 decent hands that will remove his limbs from him.

That being said, you will see a female trucker walk into a truckstop, buttcheeks hanging out of her shorts and showing an acre of cleavage. Then shes upset when someone makes a comment. How braindead can she be? You dont bring nothing to show and tell if you dont want to hear commentary from the audience.

One more thing: The worst harrassment you fwill face will not be from a male driver, but a female.

    That's the darn truth!
When I first started driving (no longer a driver, just a very happy rider! :biggrin_255:)
some women drivers could be kinda mean and hateful.
If you are an attractive lady (and by all means, if you are LADY, stay so, even OTR), SOME of the female drivers will ASSume things about you..
    A) You are a LL, turned driver
B)you are "out to steal " her man/woman
C)You are just driving to "hook-up" with another driver

Don't let any woman (or man) discourage you from doing what you were trained to do...
Be a good, professional truck driver, and you will be just fine!

Always carry a stungun with you, and keep it within easy reach.

    This is good, sound advice.
A dear friend of mine was recently accosted, and nearly assaulted, by a strange man at a truck stop. She had merely gone in to the T/S to tinkle, and as she was returning to her truck, this man "assumed" her to be a LL...he quickly found she wasn't, so then tried to rob her.

A couple of drivers saw what was happening, jumped out and ran this crazy f%^*er off.

Always carry in your hand some type of protection, whether it is a stun gun, a small can of pepper spray, etc.
Also, wear around your neck one of those big, metal whistles. If you are ever approached in a threatening manner, start blowing HECK on that thing!!
