Yep. You fight. Did you walk out and take pictures? And keep your dashcam footage. It may not show her car, but it will show your approximate location when you got hit AND whether or not you were backing or going forward.
And when I say 'take pictures' I am not talking about snapping pics of your truck and her car. I am talking about walking back to where she could first see you and start snapping pictures. And then you work your way in. And if her wheels locked up, there would be evidence.
"But Six, that was a long walk!"
Exactamundo. It will show that she
1. was driving too fast for road conditions
2. was inattentive.
Oh, and ol Captain Savaho hubby...when he had walked up, my response to him would have been "Sir, goeth intercourse thyself."
If you didn't get the pictures that you needed to tell your side of the story, shame on you. -
The officer took photos. He told me to stay in my truck because of her husband. I'll go back and take photos of the scene tomorrow from where she could see me and where I was as well. The ladies husband was extremely aggressive I have no idea if she got a ticket as well. My best assumption is she lied through her teeth, she didn't know I had even backed up until I told her. Then she told the cop I was in the middle of the road in reverse which is not the case.

The cop screwed you. If he were worried about hubby, he would have called for backup. On your dashcam footage, can you hear the cop telling you to stay in the tow truck?
@Ridgeline , what do you think of all of this?Pamela1990 and AModelCat Thank this. -

Next time, don't be nice.
Sunshinegirl Thanks this. -
Starting to learn that sadly. I just wanted to be professional about it. I don't believe I'm at fault it's not my fault she locked up her breaks and hit me. I absolutely should have backed in and pulled out that's my bad. But I don't believe it would have changed the outcome at all.Cabinover101 Thanks this.

So it sounds like you had JUST put it in drive and started to straighten out heading west when she ran into your driver side coming from the east? So basically your truck was in her lane when she hit you?FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

The husband being there acting irate mighta swayed the cops to cut a ticket.

Why did she have her brakes locked up again?
