They used to want 6.2. Then it became 6.4. Then 6.7. Then 6.9. I had slowed down to 55 for awhile to meet the standards but they raised so high I couldn't make it at all so I stopped that crap.

 

I leave out for EVO I tomarrow morning.

 

I haven't seen a 6.9 on my fuel report. The last one I got actually went down, I think it was around 6.61 mpg for the goal..... I was still way under that on my last fill up, but hauling 40K lbs through the mountains will do that to any driver.

I do agree with what most people are saying, Roehl does have some issues, they really micro manage their drivers, but I have also found they are willing to work with you. I have called in many times and requested new fuel stops, or differant routing, and it usually takes all of 3 minutes for them to agree with my routing, or what ever I'm asking them to change.

The paychecks are pretty low, there promise of 40k your first year, I feel that is a little high. I was almost making more on unemployment, then what I'm making out here working 12-14 hours a day, but the way I see it, a few more months, and I'll be making more, just hope I'm still getting the miles I'm getting now. Till then, I'll just submit all my trip reports at once, that way it feels better when I get a $900 paycheck, instead of two $450 checks.

 

Towards the end of EVOII your trainer will sit back and you will run the loads as a solo driver.

 

GRC, just so you know what can happin, my EVO training schedule was very similar, all EVO I, then most of EVO II then home, then back out. When I left out I think I had 3 days left for EVOII, but unfortunally you are out with the truck. Until the truck gets routed back, you are out with it. I think I ended up with a total of 17 days evo II, and 10 days EVO I. Then was home for a weekend, then tested out and got my first truck. Hopefully yours will be faster, but that is how mine went. I think it really depends on the personality of your fleet mgr. I go out for 11 days and never talk to my fm, he sends out the plan and i deliver on time and stay "kinda" close to the route and hit my fuel stops... I hear other drivers talk about having the fm call them every day wanting to know where they are and where they are stopping... I would think this is just because they have made a pattern of being late or way off course. Then again some fm's are just jerks... I like mine, he keeps me running the whole time out and always makes sure im preplanned for loads through the weekend so i dont need to deal with the weekend dispatch crew...
