Your IFTA should be done by now, if not, then they are going to pay a late fee. I'd call and demand my money, they should know what the taxes are by now, and not only that, but usually the fee is very minimal. This last time, ours was $69, and thats because hubby bought too much fuel in MO and didn't buy any in IL.

Read your lease agreement.
Most state they can hold your final and reserve for 45 days.
Just to make sure you have no outstanding claims etc.
Reread your lease then go after them.
Road tax, they can pull that up by the end of the week.
Will show your miles ran in each state and amount of fuel bought for each state.
Make sure you have proof that all their stuff got turned in. Door signs plates if theirs etc.

knowing LinkAmerica they put off purchasing Tags for the Owner Operators as long as they can. I ran on a temp for almost 6 months. My wife was a Recruiter for Washita and when it became Link the safety department were always having to file for extra temp. cab cards until they recieved the money from the Corporate Offices in Tulsa. Those people have no clue as to what they are doing. So they probably have not paid it yet. I did hear a rumor that they were holding drivers trips because they were having money problems.. Now that is just a rumor so I don't know for sure. My wife and I loved working for Washita but hated working for Link. Never could get through on the phones. No one would call you back. But according to them they never got the messages.

I worked for Washita/ LinkAmerica before I got laid off. We were losing drivers left and right after Link came in took over. The reason you have drivers calling you every day is because you have ads in every major newspaper on on every website in the country. Your driver retention is terrible! You have to advertise relentlessly to keep replacing drivers because they don't stay after they find out how you operate. so.. don't try to sugar coat your company because it is no better than any other big operation out there! They do not care about the drivers! Simple as that.

D/H, an o/o, called Link a couple weeks ago about working there. Recruiter, having been told he was an o/o, said to come on in (Lakeland, FL) on the following Mon for orientation. Went as scheduled, they were a bit surprised he was there. Hmmm! Spent the day in class, night and the next am was told that the home office said no to hiring o/o's. What a waste of time! Luckily the next day he got on somewhere else and so far, better. Got on a company outside of FL. We'll see how they are in the longer run, too soon to tell. Link America could've saved us the fuel and time with a simple answer on the phone to begin with, but then that makes too much sense. Errr!
