sorry, I TOOK THE CAPS AS YELLING...
what i am saying is that they do not froce loads on you, they CAN, but they dont, if its forced disp, then why does disp call some drivers and ask wat they load they prefer? and why is when a driver wants to go east, and they send him/her/it west, he/she/it says they'll wait for the load going east, or nah id rather not take that load? to me, as a driver here am telln u its not, training will tell you that because its the mindset to have for this industy, so u dont go turning down loads u dont wanna pull, it will not do u, or any driver any good to turn down loads, its that simple,

have u started with a nother company yet??

Was wondering about anyone who has been thru the 10 day orientation could shed some light on my situation. Talked to sandy in recruiting, did all the things that she needed so far of me, (aPP., long form D.O.T., and M.V.R). Last week emailed to see how things were going, and she asked me to be Patient as they were getting new 10 day class ready for the 3rd. of august. Today its the 4th and wondering when I should call back, and or wait for whats next which is the next class for I guess what she said would be the 12th of august.

LOL you must be talking about "herman munster" from the adams family ,I cant remeber his actual name but he looks and has a deep voice like him...
I herd he can be pretty intense as in make you nervous as a ##### in church while your trying to drive the truck..

You should know since you work for them. All I was saying is what I was told or experienced myself. No soon2be I have not started with another company yet. It is very difficult out there with no experience. I am working on one right now should know Thurs. if it's a go. Thanks for asking.

Well I would not call him Herman Munster. His name is Dick and he can be nice but he is very intense. If I go back I will not drive with him again.:biggrin_25512:

A bit of a contradiction...he can be nice, but I will not drive with him again. I remember Dick, and I had a similar reaction to him. You just have to realize after the fact that his job isn't to teach you anything about driving a truck, it's to put pressure on you to screw up so they can send you home. And he's good at it too, it's as if he's living out his unfulfilled dream of being a drill sargeant. Kind of sad though, to see a grown man lose control of himself so completely. I remember wanting to go back for the flatbed training but he was the one in charge of that program and I didn't want to learn flatbeds so bad as to get back into a truck with that lunatic.

Well you may be right. I try and find the good in everyone. And maybe I did not pass their stress test. :biggrin_25511: I thought I handled it well. I did not get upset. Just felt pressure and nerviness so what is done is done and all I can do now is move on. There are thousands of trucking company's out there. I am working with a few right now. Plus my friend has been a truck driver for over 20 years he is going to talk with his boss to see if he can train me through his company they are a very small out fit running flat bed. I should know something by the end of the week.
