    Just saw this on cdl life. I saw their trucks all the time around here. Hate to see a family owned outfit go under. I’m sure the rest of us will pick up the slack just fine.

    Don't know about Mercer taking over cheap rates, but there is some seriously shady stuff going on at P&S. Maybe it's just me, but how in the world can a nobody carrier in 2004 become such a major player in ten years? Especially in such a cut throat field as trucking?

    And where are they getting the money to be constantly buying other carriers, yet be so blasted cheap on both rates and basic (as in REQUIRED to pass the most base level DOT inspection) maintenance?

    They will occasionally go into an area and cut rates so badly they are PAYING to haul freight, yet claim to make a profit. Doesn't make sense to me. But what do I know, I'm just a simple trucker who believes your income needs to exceed your expenses...

    I was with one of their carriers. Everytime I went into the shop for anything, I always identified the carrier and then immediately apologized.

    Honestly, it was P&S's crap attitude towards maintenance that drove me into my own truck.

    l wonder how Heartless Express will stay afloat after buying Gordon and Interstate? May Trucking used to work with Gordon on hauling paper products. At times l would actually get my bill of lading from one of Gordons dispatchers. l also retired in 2009.
