I hear you do not need to keep logs past 6 months and if there paper you could always take a couple days off and recreate them

IFTA records must be kept for four years.

You need to show them miles driven in each state,by dates, gallons of fuel used and what state purchased. How many trucks used under that IFTA registration. The records of your IFTA quarter you are being audited for. I might of missed something. Here is a link of what is required to be kept for IFTA audits.
https://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/441787.pdf. This pdf. is from Washington state but they are all the same. All IFTA states must audit and keep records the same. Each state is required to audit a certain % of the IFTA licenses in their state.

Been in audits twice. I just furnished what they asked for. Hope you can do that. Ohio had me mail the info in. Pa showed up at my house after a warning letter of the audit. This was in paper log days. You know, one or both may have been before ifta. But same theory, just matching fuel receipts with miles. With proof. Guilty until you prove your innocent. .or law abiding. Unless you were trying to be tricky. Good luck.
