You don't see it differently.
But he apparently he did. And some of his likes too.jamespmack Thanks this. -
The carriers that are dropping are the ones that made unwise investment decisions last year when freight was at record levels. Freight this year is about the same as it was two years ago.drvrtech77 and bzinger Thank this.
-
How can it be the same?
Tariffs have raised prices. Production is cutting back.
And truckers galore are complaining about the rates this year.jamespmack and mladen86 Thank this. -
Out of those 639 how many of them were 1 truck companies?drvrtech77, Rideandrepair and jamespmack Thank this.

Tariffs haven’t raised prices at all actually. Production has cut back extremely little when interest rates were raised too quickly. Now they are increasing again. Truckers are complaining about rates due to a recession in trucking, not a recession of our country. There is too much supply of trucks even though there are record levels of freight.piston865, Rideandrepair, 062 and 2 others Thank this.

Perfectly put ! My rates on my company's non brokered freight haven't dropped off one bit because my bosses didnt get greedy in 2018 ...and they didnt order a bunch of new equipment only replacing what was due for trade .
This time a year ago I considered upgrading trucks instead of overhauling my current truck ...the boss cautioned against it saying " this market isnt going to last and when it crashes it will be a bloodbath " he was spot on !drvrtech77, Long FLD and dwells40 Thank this. -
Tariffs have raised prices quite a bit.
Right down to my toothbrushes. Which are $2 higher.
And homes. Which have almost doubled in prices recently. -
Watching all these megas go down so abruptly has me in awe . Kinda creepy but at the same time got me thinking it might be time to buy myself a power unit soon.... more work for the little guys ?
Rideandrepair and bzinger Thank this. -
I suspect Milwaukee based roadrunner days are numbered .
They got caught cooking the books too and have already sold off the intermodal and flatbed divisions and shut down the dry van division.
This only leaves the reefer division comprised of r@m , bruenger and A@A... and that equipment is well past trade time.drvrtech77, Rideandrepair, Coffey and 1 other person Thank this.
