What you didn't seem to grasp is that rswinnerton was posting about his experience with Swift and that it's a good one. You also didn't grasp that Dark is on a dedicated fleet. What on earth would cause you to try and start some type of arguement about whether people were having success on the job? rswinnerton posted he went to a dedicated fleet thus he's no longer OTR, Dark is not OTR.......so where exactly do you find the target of your attack? If it's simply an arguement you desire.......well okay gird your loins because I'm in CA and ready to tango.

We too have had success with Swift and are now on a dedicated fleet also. Both my team partner and myself are each making more than you each week with several nights home each week and if you REALLY insist on comparing sex lives.......well I team with my hubby so he's probably doing better in the sex department than you as well since I'm in the truck and at home with him.

Sheeeeeeeeesh Want to compare our kids' school grades now? How about our looks? Or maybe you wish to compare batting averages? Or maybe you'd just like to duke it out on the schoolyard?

In the immortal words of Smurf :"GROW UP!"

this post has brought to mind the fact that the next time any of us go buy as much as a stick of gum REMEMBER this that whatever you have just bought was in some part brought to your area via an OTR........this reminds me of a comment I have always heard growing up ...don't bite the hand that feeds you.....if not for the OTR's of our country the local delivery drivers would not have a job........so while you local people enjoy all of that quality time remember some OTR driver is sacrificing so you can get up and go to work every day.

Well not entirely accurate...while OTRs do stay out weeks at a time, the OTR, or coast to coast, or more accurate a description would really be; LONG HAUL. I am sure you have noticed all the Swift, JB Hunt, Schneider, and just about every other company utilizing the rail..each one of those trailers on the rail, maybe 10 years ago, was a trailer behind a truck..we used to run like there was no tomorrow. I can remember, even with Swift, having three and sometimes four or five trips pre-planned on me, yep it was that busy.

Now so much is handled by rail, JB Hunt and Schneider have a larger "regional" fleet around the country, than they do Long Haul, and other companies are doing the same...so the local is busy, and the regional is busy, but long haulers are left sitting and waiting for the least amount of available freight there is.

BTW, did you know that at one time Jerry Moyes actually had 12 locomotives running 4 long trains of exclusively Swift trailers up and down the Pacific coast? Never forget the day I was cruising along US 97, skirting around Klamath Lake, saw that train goin south with 225 cars, (counted em) nothing but Swift trailers on that rail..had me so distracted I got my first speeding ticket from OR at the scalehouse..never felt so stupid...HERE'S YUOUR SIGN!

With age comes maturity to most of us...but just a little advice for you; If you can't take criticism for what you post, don't criticise others posts!

You are allowed your opinion, just as others are allowed theirs. This forum is a vent to many, and we try to respect what they say, and sometimes give them a hard time about their post. But we do not ATTACK each other, we only tar the post apart with documented facts stating the opposing side of their post. And in return they are welcome to do the same with ours.

dO A LITTLE GROING UP YOURSELF!:biggrin_25525:

And so for you to express that you're happy with what you're doing you feel you must insult others and play "one up"? What's next? You going to challenge the other guys to a "tinkling contest"? You all going to line up along side the road and see who can tinkle the furthest over the bar ditch?

Perhaps you haven't noticed but you're the little buckaroo that came on this thread and attacked others. So perhaps you should take a look in the mirror before you say others like to fight.

Now me......I'm honest. I'm in a mood to fight today so BATTER UP bat boy.
